I do agree with Bill Nichols’ article in the Dallas Morning news on Tiger and Phil passing on the season ending event after the PGA set the event up as an end of the year show for all of the top players. I can agree that the two top players not showing or wanting to play will make it tough for TV to sell sponsorships to the event in the future which is another hit towards getting more golf on TV where it belongs. I really it is not a good message either being sent out by the top players that $100K guarantee playing fee is not enough for them to consider being serious money.
